My Poor Dog

My poor dog has been sick. I took her to the vet but she still isn't herself. I hope she gets better. She is so much nicer to me than the kids! I am so excited to get to spend the summer with my kids! I am not sure what I will be doing but it won't be working! Yipee! Okay so I know I will work but not everyday! We are planning a way fun camping trip over Memorial Weekend. We are all very excited.

Just checking in

So the Masters program is a lot more work then I thought it would be. For this last class we physically met three times but had 23 assignments. I hope the work load lessens of I will go nuts this summer when I am enrolled in 3 classes at the same time! I have finally figured out what I am doing teaching now that the year is almost over. Now I am worried about how well my class will perform on their CRT's. Keep your fingers crossed! : )

Temple Dedication

We got to attend the Draper Temple Dedication at our Stake Center today. It was so cute how the kids kept asking me what was going to happen. I had no idea it was a first for me too. I'm glad we all got to experience it.

I can finally see my couches!

Okay so I brought someone to our house the other day and I could have died from embarrassment. I have been so busy that I haven't taken any time to clean and of course the kids aren't going to do it on their own. What a mess. Well I can finally see the couches and chairs. I did find out that our vacuum was broken so we bought another and it works great, it's one designed to pick up pet hair and since our dog sheds like no other it was much needed. I wish I could say the whole house is clean but I feel like we have a good start. As soon as I get the house how I want it, it will be time to start yard work. Ugh I just had a horrible thought, I haven't cleaned up after the dog all winter. It's tempting to just burn the back yard and start from scratch!

How to get out of things

Well, I discovered how to get out of ward activities, cleaning the church, and teaching my lesson. Crash a snow mobile. That's right I crashed. Not bad for my first time! It must have been so funny to watch. I thought I was being so careful. I thought okay take that little hill. Unfortunatly when I got to the top of the little hill I realized that it went straight down on the other side. I am really quite proud of myself I didn't even swear. Anyhow I crashed straight down in the snow. So picture this, the snow mobile goes straight down, my legs fly up into the air and my face smashes into the handle bars. I was being safe so I had a helmet on but......the helmet was loose so the covering for the mouth gets shoved up into my nose. I kept my grip on the handle bars so when the machine and I landed I flopped to one side. I had the wind knocked out of me so for a minute I just lay there and the first thought I had was I am so done. No more riding for me. After I lay there for a minute I felt something drip down the side of my face. Great I was bleeding. I was pretty shaky so it took me a minute to get my helmet off. I was bleeding from both sides of my nose, I didn't have anything with me but my gloves so they became my tissue to stop the bleeding. By this time some of the other people with me saw me laying on the ground and had come over. At this point I realized that I was lucky that the snow was so deep. My right leg was under the machine, since the snow was so deep my leg had sunk some so it was not hurt. I was not done though since we had a machine for each person I had to drive myself back to the trailers. I did okay but I was pretty shaken up.

Today I have a brusied and swollen nose, a small cut under my nose and above my lip. I do feel like I was run over by a truck, I am sore all over.

I am lucky I wasn't hurt worse. It was a lot of fun though and I will probably go again but not too soon!

GRRRRRRR....... I can't take anymore!

So this week has been HE double toothpicks! Monday night I have to get ready for parent teacher conferences. Tuesday and Wednesday conferences until 8 p.m. Thursday hair appointments and a single adult activity (My Stake calling you know). Today I have a get together with my friends from high school (This and the hair are the highlights of my week) Tomorrow another singles activity from 7:30 a.m. until 3p.m. Then home until 6 for a ward progressive dinner. After that I am on the list to clean the church at 9p.m. Up on Sunday to teach in Primary.Somewhere in the midst of all that I get to write lesson plans, teach full time, and be a full time masters student. At some point I have to find some time to do my homework. I feel bad because I am tired busy and stressed and the kids get the raw end of this deal. I haven't been able to spend very much time with them at all and even though we live in the same house I miss them!

I so have to get more organized.

Okay so I am having a tough time keeping up with everything. Between my class web site and my school and upcoming parent teacher conferences and facebook my blog keep getting skipped. Tommorrow I am having a make up day for my math class and will be talking about possibles bags with my home room.
I got some material and I need to figure out the easiest and best way to make them. Any ideas?????

Finally!!!!

It's a done deal. I got my licence from the state of Utah today! It's official, I can teach. It's a good thing I got this done three days before I start the Masters program.
